Learn how to help gifted learners thrive academically and personally with practical strategies that both address challenges like belonging, perfectionism, and intensities and promote positive development by cultivating metacognition and leadership skills. Attendees will learn how to create environments where gifted students develop into well-adjusted, impactful individuals. (Advanced registration of $150 required; continental breakfast provided to registered attendees.)
Learning Objectives:
Participants will understand potential issues gifted students face that may impact their academic performance and psychosocial well being such as anxiety, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and intensities.
Participants will learn practical strategies for helping gifted students cope and overcome obstacles related to common issues impacting academic performance and psychosocial well-being.
Participants will learn strategies for promoting positive development in gifted students including cultivating metacognitive and leadership skills.
