Co-Chair Warren County Consortium for Student Enrichment Port Murray, New Jersey, United States
Short Description: Gifted coordinators in isolated districts can leverage the power of their programs and vastly increase student opportunities by joining together to form consortia, pooling their strengths and efforts. With minimal financial investment and tasks distributed among members, a rich schedule of offerings is possible. Educators gain working partners, while students benefit from competition and collaboration within an expanded peer network.
Gifted Coordinator Track - Sponsored by National Inventors Hall of Fame
Learning Objectives:
Educators will develop strategies to better grow students’ gifts and talents by drawing on the larger educational community and matching its shared resources and networks to students’ readiness.
Educators will cultivate connections with colleagues at other districts with the aims of acquiring broadened student pools for competition and collaboration, to better foster interactions among intellectual/creative peers.
Educators will develop means of collaboration with colleagues at other districts for mentoring, professional development, and to support students with comprehensive services and advocacy.
