Short Description: Participants in this interactive session will experience dyslexia simulation activities and explore research on children who are both gifted and dyslexic. Teachers and parents will learn to recognize the signs of gifted dyslexics and leave the session with strategies to nurture the strengths and talents and foster the emotional and academic needs of these children in and outside the classroom.
Learning Objectives:
By engaging in dyslexia simulation activities and exploring relevant research, participants will acquire more in-depth knowledge about gifted dyslexic children.
Through the analysis of case studies and interactive activities, participants will develop the ability to identify signs, challenges, and strengths associated with gifted dyslexics.
Participants will possess the knowledge and skills to apply learned strategies to support gifted dyslexic individuals' emotional and academic needs within and outside the classroom.
