Short Description: While there is limited research concerning the development of 2E students’ creative potential, promising research is emerging (Lien et al.). Educators and parents will learn how to apply strength-based strategies to encourage and engage 2E students’ abilities and interests while supporting their diverse needs through the integration of MIT’s Creative Learning framework and Reis and colleague’s 2eASD research.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will explain how the creative learning framework and five strength-based approaches overlap and can be applied to support creative and academic potential of 2E learners.
Participants will explore and practice differentiation strategies that promote creativity and can be easily integrated into various educational settings to help 2E learners achieve success
Participants will walk away with various resources that support and challenge 2e students through creative exploration.
