Short Description: Supports and guidance for Indigenous students is difficult to achieve unless stakeholders have a unified vision and goals. The New Mexico Indigenous Instructional Scope and updated gifted rules are a case study of this intentional long-term alignment. This session will look at ways to improve Indigenous gifted education by foregrounding Indigenous peoples and their localized cultural and linguistic values.
