Short Description: Gifted students facing hardship, trauma, and discrimination encounter unique social-emotional challenges that impact their heightened sensitivity, well-being, and achievement. This session explores how chronic stress affects brain function and engagement, leading to anxiety, perfectionism, and underperformance. Attendees will gain trauma-informed strategies, SEL techniques, and approaches to foster resilience, self-advocacy, and success in gifted learners.
