Learning Objectives:
Examine the distinct social and emotional needs of gifted Black boys and girls, including maladaptive perfectionism, negative self-concept and esteem, hyper-sexualization, and navigating micro-aggressions.
Analyze and master the “H.E.R.O.” framework to effectively empower gifted Black youth.
Demonstrate targeted strategies and access actionable resources to foster the holistic development of gifted Black youth.
