Short Description: This session is designed to help educators become talent scouts in identifying gifted multilingual learners (MLs). Research regarding both identification barriers and promising practices will be shared. The learning, language, and cultural characteristics of gifted MLs will be highlighted and participants will be introduced to several observation tools that can assist them in recognizing these students in the classroom.
