With Fluid Debates, teachers learn how to facilitate discussions that encourage gifted students to shift perspectives and engage in accountable, evidence-based conversations.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will learn to reframe debates to focus on fluidity: the idea that your view can change.
Through an emphasis on the critical thinking required to shift a perspective, cognitive flexibility is celebrated; not seen as a sign of failure or weakness.
By participating in a Fluid Debate, learners recognize the value of considering other perspectives, listening with accountability, and being flexible to shift ones own viewpoint.
