Using gamification to support inquiry-based learning, students take on the role of Charles Darwin during his voyage around the world, solving real problems he encountered.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to create hypotheses to explain scientific observations and investigate potential substances that can cause the death of organisms using scientific knowledge. They will apply these skills to investigate the death of a cow on a farm.
Students will explore chemical contaminants in water sources and use this knowledge to predict contamination levels in hazardous regions.
Students will also identify the consequences of chemical pollutants in water and understand how human activities impact water quality through observation, analysis, and evidence-based reasoning.
