Participants will learn alternative ways to identify English Learners (ELs) for advanced programming. This session provides methods and results from strategies piloted in a case study. We discuss using rapid language acquisition and growth on achievement measures as additional indicators of high ability. Experience one district’s journey to create a more inclusive Gifted program.
