Jennifer Allen, Ed.D., is the Founder and Executive Director of 2edvocate, LLC, an educational consulting firm that partners with schools, families, and professionals to best meet students’ needs, enabling them to thrive in their educational journey and beyond. Jennifer has dedicated over 20 years to supporting the unique needs of students. As a teacher, principal, parent, special education director, and head of a school for twice-exceptional students, Jennifer brings a wealth of experience and appreciates what it’s like to sit on both sides of the IEP table.
Jennifer’s interest in neurodiversity began in a high school psychology class. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in psychology, earned her master’s degree in teaching with a gifted education specialty endorsement, and has a doctorate in leadership and professional practice.
Jennifer is the proud parent of two twice-exceptional teens. A fun fact is that she and her family lived in South Africa for five years. As a board member of the Northwest Gifted Child Association, Jennifer enjoys raising awareness about gifted children as a special needs population and connecting parents to resources.
