Mrs. Rebecca D. Bishop is the District Coordinator for AIG and Beginning Teacher Support for Granville County Public Schools in Oxford, North Carolina. She is a 25-year veteran of education and has been working in the area of gifted education for over 20 years. She is certified by NBPTS and has a Master's of Educational Leadership from Queens University of Charlotte. She serves as an AIG Regional Lead for the NCDPI. Her additional role in her district is the Beginning Teacher Coordinator, so she provides support and professional development for all Beginning Teachers and Mentor Teachers in GCPS.

In addition to her professional education roles and responsibilities, she is also a pastor and serves as the Chaplain for the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford.
