Dr. Kimberly Beckerdite, Ed.D. has dedicated 26 years to education as both a teacher and administrator. She currently serves as the Supervisor of Gifted Education Services and Advanced Placement for Newport News Public Schools, where she collaborates with students, teachers, staff, and families across the district K-12.
In addition to her district role, Kimberly is an adjunct instructor, writing coursework and teaching gifted endorsement courses at Averett University and Longwood University. She has also been actively involved in the Odyssey of the Mind program for over 35 years, first as a participant and later as a coach, judge, and both regional and state director for Virginia Odyssey. Kimberly is an active member at the local, state, and international level of DKG Society International, an honor society for women educators focused on philanthropy, personal and professional development.
Kimberly holds an Ed.D. in Education Administration and Policy Studies from The George Washington University, an M.S. in Education Administration and Supervision from Old Dominion University, a Gifted Education Endorsement from The College of William and Mary, and a B.A. from Randolph-Macon College.
