Dr. Pamela R. Clinkenbeard is Professor Emeritus of Educational Foundations, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She co-developed Wisconsin's first gifted education licensure program for teachers and coordinators. She has served as a board member and officer of the National Association for Gifted Children and was the U.S. liaison to the European Council for High Ability (ECHA). She serves on the gifted advisory board for Purdue University (GER2I) and is on the Gifted Child Quarterly and Gifted & Talented International editorial boards. She is a past president and current board member and advocacy chair for the Wisconsin Association for Talented and Gifted (WATG). She has written several book chapters and has published articles in Gifted Child Quarterly, Journal for Education of the Gifted, and Roeper Review, as well as other journals. She was on the faculty at Yale University with the National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented; was assistant director at Duke University’s Talent Identification Program; and was assistant professor at the University of Georgia. Dr. Clinkenbeard speaks nationally and internationally on motivation and gifted students, neuroscience implications for gifted education, and equitable advocacy and economic policy related to gifted education. She was the 2022 NAGC Belin Advocacy Award winner.
