Michelle Buchanan is a teacher educator at the University of Central Arkansas. Prior to moving to higher education, Michelle taught 14 years orf junior high and gifted science in Texas and Louisiana where she earned multiple state and national awards such as the TED-Ed Distinguished Educator, PBS Innovative Teacher Awards, and U.S. Department of Education’s Star Teaching Award for Louisiana. Her research interests include teacher preparation, educational technology and STEM gifted education.
