Dr. Cynthia DePalma brings over 25 years of experience as a teacher, instructional mentor, and curriculum leader committed to advancing equity, excellence, and joy in gifted education. As Academic Content Manager for Gifted Education and Talent Development (PK–8) at Tulsa Public Schools, she leads the design of inclusive, high-rigor curriculum and professional learning that support both the cognitive and affective needs of gifted learners—especially those who are twice-exceptional or multilingual.
Cynthia is a dynamic, engaging speaker known for blending deep expertise with humor, heart, and hands-on strategies educators can use immediately. Her sessions are both energizing and practical, often described as “a perfect balance of research and real talk.” A featured presenter at the Oklahoma Association for the Gifted, Creative, and Talented (OAGCT), she has led sessions on intensities, creativity, and the foundations of gifted education. She has also served as President, Vice President, Curriculum Chair, and Newsletter Editor for OAGCT.
Cynthia holds a BA from the University of Oklahoma, an MS from Oklahoma State University, and an EdD from Northeastern University. She lives in Tulsa with her husband Dan, their creative children Kit and Evie, and three lively rescue dogs in a home filled with intensity, laughter, and love.
