Mariela Gil holds a Master’s degree in TESOL and a dual Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Psychology both from the University of Southern California. She taught English as a Second Language in the U.S. and English as a Foreign Language in Thailand and Mexico before joining Macmillan Education. During her career in publishing, Mariela has been a teacher trainer, field editor, commissioning editor, and publisher. She currently has the role of Publisher for Global Content and Methodologies at Macmillan Education and is also pursuing a doctorate in Cognitive Diversity in Education at the Bridges Graduate School of Cognitive Diversity.
