Emily Hollett is an award-winning gifted educator who lives in Nashville,
Tennessee. She has taught all elementary grades throughout her career and has
been serving elementary students through gifted education since 2014. She has
authored numerous units written for gifted learners, one of which was awarded
a Curriculum Award from the Tennessee Association for the Gifted ("Views from
the Zoo", 2021). In addition, Emily presents professional learning opportunities for
fellow educators with a unique focus on advancing teacher efficacy and
student outcomes for gifted learners. Through speaking engagements with state
associations for the gifted in several states, as well as the National Association for
the Gifted, Emily offers encouragement, pedagogy, and practical tips to
support other gifted educators across the country. Emily co-authored and
published a five-book series of Integrated Lessons in Higher Order Thinking Skills
(Routledge, 2022), targeting gifted learners in the upper elementary grades.
Emily is the current co-president of the Tennessee Association for the Gifted,
where she works tirelessly to advocate for gifted education across Tennessee by
connecting educators and providing professional learning opportunities through
state conferences. Emily is passionate about advancing access to excellent
curriculum and services for all gifted learners.
