Fort Collins, Colorado, United States
Dr. Hilary Wisdom is an audiologist at Able Kids Foundation in Fort Collins, Colorado. Dr. Wisdom received her Masters of Audiology (M.S.) and Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) degrees from Gallaudet University. She is accredited by the American Board of Audiology (ABA) and a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). Dr. Wisdom’s interest in central auditory processing disorder (CAPD) led her to the University of North Carolina – Greensboro (UNC-G) where she completed her residency year with a focus in CAPD, tinnitus, and sound sensitivity. During her time at UNC-G, Dr. Wisdom also became certified in sound therapies and found they were largely unsuccessful in helping those with CAPD better understand in noisy environments. A native of Fort Collins, Dr. Wisdom was excited to return home and bring her CAPD and hearing loss experience to the Foundation where she could offer evidenced based solutions to families. She has evaluated over 1,000 individuals with CAPD, many of which are gifted. Dr. Wisdom has developed a keen interest in working with the gifted population who sometimes feel misunderstood and isolated. She finds great joy in being able to offer information to families and believes in the importance of community education.
