Jonathan Jones is a passionate educator, performer, and community leader with a dynamic career of music, teaching, and community engagement. Having decades of experience inspiring the LGBTQ+ community and students of all ages, bringing boundless energy and creative vision. With a diverse background spanning teaching, music performance, event hosting, and caregiving, Jonathan brings a unique blend of heart, skill, and spirit to everything he does building bridges between people, passions, and possibility, guiding individuals toward personal growth.
Spent years shaping young minds as a Lower School Instructional Assistant at Open Window School, teaching gifted K–4 students across a wide range of subjects, from music and technology to drama and science. His ability to connect with students is deeply influenced by Responsive Classroom training, and decades of camp leadership, music education, and teaching in both private and classroom settings, to working as a Wedding DJ and karaoke host at LGBTQ+ establishments, to caring for his centenarian father with compassion and commitment. Through it all, Jonathan has remained driven by a love of learning, a deep sense of service, and a belief in the transformative power of music, equity, inclusion, and connection. Honored and excited to be co-presenting at NAGC 2025.
