Jeanne Ann Lee has taught regular, gifted, and music education over the past 36 years. For eleven years she taught at Harlan Independent where she served as elementary teacher, gifted resource teacher, Elementary and Middle School Choir Director, Associate Director of the Harlan Boys Choir and Accompanist for the Harlan Musettes. For 25 years Mrs. Lee has worked for Harlan County Schools and for the past 17 years has served as choir director at Harlan County High School while handling her administrative duties as Director of District Wide Programs including District Gifted Coordinator. Mrs. Lee received a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Arts, and a Rank 1 from Union Commonwealth University where she earned certifications in Elementary, Music, and Gifted Education. She received certifications in Instructional Supervision and Superintendent of Schools from Eastern Kentucky University. She is a graduate of Harvard University’s Project Zero, a summer intensive arts integration program, and is an adjunct faculty member for the University of the Cumberlands as supervisor of student teachers. Mrs. Lee has served on numerous state arts education committees and currently sits on the State Advisory Council for Gifted and Talented. Mrs. Lee has three adult sons and nine wonderful grandchildren.
