Shannon McDonald is a graduate research assistant, course instructor, and doctoral candidate at the University of Connecticut. She holds a B.A. in English Literature, a two-year post-baccalaureate certificate in secondary education, and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Gifted Education & Equitable Instruction. Formerly a middle and high school English language arts educator, Shannon worked in classrooms designed to support the needs of children with advanced abilities in Washington State. Her research interests include talent development and creativity, media literacy, and teacher education.
