Melanie Olson has been teaching in the Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose school district for twenty years. This is her fourteenth year teaching in the Quest Program, which is a school-within-a-school for gifted and talented children. Her classroom is self-contained, servicing students in grades 2-4. She teaches all subject areas in addition to incorporating engineering, computer science, and social-emotional learning curriculum. Melanie is a past president of the Minnesota Educators of the Gifted and Talented (MEGT) State Board of Directors, advocating for legislation and serving on the conference committee for the MEGT Mid-Winter Conference.
