Hi! I'm Bobbie Parmann ( Barbara is my legal name, and only my mother calls me Barbara.) I taught GATE for 5 years and support the GATE program at my school. This school year is my 14th year in education. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in Teacher Leadership, and earned an endorsement in Gifted and Talented Education. I have supported individual student needs in the resource room, taught English to students in China, Kindergarten, 6th grade ELA, GATE, and currently in my 2nd year of being MTSS/RJ Coordinator. I enjoy analyzing data and advocating for the needs of individual students.
When I am not teaching you can find me traveling with my husband of 18 years and our two daughters, Allison and Avery. We enjoy seeking out beaches around the world, but our favorite destination is always Disney. We have 2 spoiled Doodles, Anakin and Amidala, and 1 spoiled Chihuahua mix, Arlo. My favorite home activities are gardening, reading, and watching sports.
I am looking forward to attending and presenting at NAGC! I love working and collaborating with teachers from all over!
