Rebeccah (Becky) Rutherford has been an elementary school teacher with Albuquerque Public Schools since 2004, dedicating the past decade to supporting gifted learners. As a passionate advocate for gifted education—and as a parent of three gifted children—she champions services that nurture not only academic growth but also the social and emotional development essential for these students.
Currently serving as President of the New Mexico Association for the Gifted (NMAG), Rebeccah holds an Ed.S. from the University of New Mexico, as well as degrees in Criminology, Psychology, and Elementary Education, and a M.Ed. from Wayland Baptist University. She also earned a Gifted Endorsement from Central New Mexico Community College. Rebeccah is committed to advancing gifted education throughout New Mexico.
