A National Board Certified Teacher, Dr. Neily Snook is an Assistant Professor in Special and Gifted Education at New Mexico Highlands University. Drawing on her 28 years of experience in education, Dr. Snook guides educators in creating challenging and supportive socio-emotional learning environments for exceptional students. With a desire to scale her impact through teacher development, Dr. Snook seeks to empower students to develop divergent and convergent thinking skills. She serves as the Past President of the New Mexico Association for the Gifted, advocating for atypical learners by removing barriers to learning. Dr. Snook holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of New Mexico, a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from New Mexico State University, and a Doctorate in Psychology with an Emphasis in Cognition and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. Dr. Snook is the recipient of the 2023 New Mexico School Boards Association Excellence in Student Achievement Award.
