Meredith Thomas, Ph.D. is an educational researcher, curriculum designer, and district Gifted & Talented specialist with more than twenty years of experience supporting advanced learners. A recent doctoral graduate in Curriculum and Teaching, her quantitative dissertation investigated targeted instructional approaches for enhancing divergent thinking in gifted K–6 cluster classes and demonstrated significant gains in fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration.
Meredith developed the Holmdel (NJ) Gifted Education Program—recognized as a model of best practice—and provides professional learning statewide through the New Jersey Department of Education, NJPSA, NJAGC, and NAGC. Her work spans curriculum design, equitable identification, and gifted MTSS frameworks. She has authored peer-reviewed chapters on gifted programming, student data profiles, and inquiry-based learning in robotics, computer science, and STEAM.
