Anarbek Yelshibayev is a dedicated educational leader with extensive experience in nurturing the academic and personal growth of gifted and talented students. Currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership at the College of William & Mary, VA, Anarbek has a robust academic background, including a MEd in Educational Leadership from Lehigh University, PA and a MA in TEFL from Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Astana.
Anarbek’s professional journey is marked by his impactful role at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Astana, Kazakhstan, where he served as Vice Principal for Academic Affairs. In this position, he led initiatives to enhance student achievement and fostered professional development among educators. Notably, he spearheaded acceleration programs designed to support gifted and talented students.
As an English teacher, Anarbek guided numerous students to success in prestigious competitions and scholarship programs, including the FLEX program, Haileybury Astana scholarships, and national academic contests. Also, he coordinated international entrepreneurship and leadership programs for gifted high school and college students. With advanced proficiency in Kazakh, Russian, and English, Anarbek brings a global perspective to his work.
