Frank C. Worrell, Ph.D., is a Distinguished Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, where he serves as Faculty Director of the School Psychology Program, the Academic Talent Development Program, and the California College Preparatory Academy. His research areas include at-risk youth, cultural identities, scale development, talent development, time perspective, and the translation of psychological research findings into practice. Author of over 350 scholarly works, Dr. Worrell is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science, the American Educational Research Association, and six divisions of the American Psychological Association (APA), and an elected member of the Society for the Study of School Psychology and the National Academy of Education. A former editor of Review of Educational Research, Dr. Worrell is a recipient of NAGC's Distinguished Scholar Award, and awards from Divisions 15, 16, 45, and 52 of APA; the California and National Associations of School Psychologists (CASP & NASP); the Council of Directors of School Psychology Programs (CDSPP); the Mensa Education and Research Foundation; the Morgridge College of Education, University of Denver, and the Council of Directors of School Psychology Programs (CDSPP). Dr. Worrell was the 2022 President of APA and received an Honorary Doctorate from Heidelberg University in 2023.
