Dr. Vicki Boley is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Colorado State University-Pueblo. Her work focuses on culturally and linguistically diverse, gifted, and creative K-12 education, grounded in experience as a classroom teacher and researcher. Before higher education, she taught 8th-grade Spanish and Human Rights Enrichment for a decade in Pueblo West, Colorado, designing original curricula for both courses. She earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver in 2024 and was named a Marcia Gentry Influence Scholar. At DU she served on a federally funded Jacob K. Javits Grant, contributing to studies that improved identification and support for underserved gifted students in rural Colorado, including Hispanic, Native American, and students qualifying for free and reduced lunch. Dr. Boley co-chairs the CSU-Pueblo Institutional Review Board, overseeing education and social-science research compliance. Her current research endeavors center on creative, organic methods for identifying and supporting rural gifted students; current work includes “Responsive Gifted and Talented Identification with the CRISPA Artifact Catcher: A Rural Colorado K–12 Classroom Case Study,” in collaboration with Custer County gifted coordinator Shelley Green.
