Ali Welch is a passionate educator and coordinator with expertise in designing equitable and inclusive gifted and talented programs. As the Gifted and Talented Coordinator for North Brunswick Township Public Schools, she co-created the district’s SOAR initiative, leading the development of a comprehensive continuum of services that identifies and supports a broad range of advanced learners. Her work includes implementing a Gifted MTSS framework, introducing universal screeners at every grade level from K through 4, and facilitating professional development for educators. With a Master’s degree from Rutgers University and certifications in Special and Elementary Education, Ali blends research-driven strategies with a commitment to student-centered learning. Inside her classroom, Ali works tirelessly to connect with her students and encourage growth in the whole-child. Focusing on the social emotional needs of her gifted learners, she enstills the habits required for continual growth as a lifelong learner, not just in school, but across all areas of life. Through her presentations and consulting, she keeps equity at the forefront of conversations and empowers educators to create systems where all students have the opportunity to thrive and achieve.
