Michael S. Matthews is Professor of Gifted Education at UNC Charlotte. He has served on the boards of the NAGC and CEC-TAG, is a former co-Editor of Gifted Child Quarterly, and is Board Chair for a public charter school serving academically advanced learners. Matthews’ research interests include gifted identification; parenting, motivation, and homeschooling of high-ability children; teacher preparation in gifted education; and research methods and open science in gifted education research.
