By examining current research and the latest NAGC Position Paper on Social and Development of Gifted Children, this session will explore best practices for supporting the social and emotional experiences of gifted individuals. By working together, parents/caregivers, teachers/practitioners, and researchers can further nurture the social and emotional needs of gifted individuals and support their talent development.

Participants will learn five best practices for nurturing the social and emotional development of gifted children.
Participants will learn from which lens they view gifted education and how they are able to contribute to research on social and emotional development, as well as meeting the needs of gifted individuals.
