Cynthia Allen-Fuss, M.Ed., is a doctoral student at the Bridges Graduate School of Cognitive Diversity in Education, where her research centers on advancing the scientific understanding of dyslexia and twice-exceptional (2e) children. She serves as the Associate Clinical Director at Children’s Dyslexia Centers, Inc., where she supports curriculum development and trains educators to work effectively with children who have dyslexia.
With over 30 years of experience in education, Cynthia is a National Board-Certified Teacher (NBCT) in literacy and holds additional certifications in elementary education and reading specialization. She earned her master’s degree in special education from Millersville University and her bachelor’s degree in Individual and Family Studies, focusing on child development, from Pennsylvania State University. Her academic contributions include teaching graduate-level courses as a lecturer at Cabrini University.
A frequent presenter at national and international conferences, Cynthia shares evidence-based strategies for supporting students with dyslexia in both home and educational environments. Her work is also deeply influenced by her personal experience as a parent of twice-exceptional children, enriching her advocacy and professional practice.
