Christina T. Dearman, Ph.D. brings extensive experience across the gifted and advanced academics educational spectrum, from pre-K through postsecondary. She has served as an honors-level teacher, GT specialist, and enrichment program leader. Currently the Advanced Academics Coordinator for Gainesville ISD, she oversees Gifted & Talented programs, AVID, UIL Academics, and Honors/AP/Dual Credit coursework.
Dr. Dearman continues to collaborate closely with the University of North Texas TRIO/Talent Search program and similar initiatives with the aim of early student and family support for continued success. She served as Curriculum Director for the Texas Governor’s School at UNT, a state-funded STEM residential program. In higher education, she held leadership roles at UNT, including Coordinator for the Office of Gifted Education and Director of Pathways for Future Teachers, and supported first-year education majors as Faculty Advisor to the Eagles Teach Living-Learning Community.
She has taught at both UNT and Texas Woman’s University, presents regularly at professional learning events, and consults with schools and districts. Dr. Dearman is a Past President of the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented (TAGT).
