Molly Gibney is the Assistant Principal at Hulstrom K-8: School for Gifted and Advanced Academics in Colorado. During her 25 years as an educator, she has also served as an Instructional Coach, GT Teacher, GT Coordinator, Digital Literacy Teacher, and School Librarian! Prior to moving to Colorado, Molly was selected as Teacher of the Year for the Jefferson City Schools District in Georgia. Molly has a Masters in Educational Leadership from Regis University and a Masters in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She volunteers as the Communications Chair for the Colorado Association of Gifted and Talented.
Molly is passionate about working with gifted students! In addition to her professional experience working with gifted learners, she brings a personal understanding to her position as the parent of a gifted child. Molly also is passionate about makerspaces, having helped to establish the Genius Lab at Mountain View Elementary and the Design+Build+Create Studio at Hulstrom K-8. She believes that engaging students in hands-on work that is relevant and of high interest will empower students with a desire to learn and grow!
