[X]Ed Academy
Valparaiso, Indiana, United States
With 25 years of teaching experience from Montessori Preschool through Graduate School, decades of data analysis and fiscal management, capped off by district administration of grants and education programs for special populations, Regin Johnson taps into his own diverse education in engineering, communications, business, and an EdS in district administration to offer learning support to all levels of education professionals. Currently a PhD candidate focusing on professional development, he leans into data-driven, research-based models of andragogy to design and deliver effective training for both teachers and instructional leaders in many contexts. Partnered with a colleague and PhD candidate associated with Purdue University's GER2I Institute, they provide training in gifted education with a delivery model that makes the content easy to access and implement for the classroom teacher through their [X]Ed Academy platform. He has particular interest in twice-exceptionality, and through his extensive work amidst diverse under-represented populations, has keen insight into the nuances and needs of equitable identification and services in gifted education. He and his wife, also a teacher, have had the privilege of raising four children, all identified as high ability, with the youngest having graduated in the class of 2025, and two oldest working in education.
