Emily Mofield, Ed.D., is an Associate Professor at Lipscomb University and co-director of the Gifted and Advanced Academics Program. She is dedicated to equipping teachers with high-quality resources to challenge and support gifted and high-potential students, focusing on curriculum development, differentiation, social-emotional supports, and collaborative teaching practices in gifted education. Emily’s work includes award-winning books, curricula (developed with Vanderbilt PTY), and projects such as the LEAP Curriculum Design modules for NAGC (with Chris Weber).
Her recent publications include Vertical Differentiation for Gifted, Advanced, and High-Potential Students, A Teacher’s Guide to Curriculum Design For Gifted Learners (with Tamra Stambaugh), and Coaching in Gifted Education (with Vicki Phelps). Emily has received numerous recognitions, including the NAGC Hollingworth Award with Megan Parker Peters for excellence in research and the “NAGC Book of the Year” award in 2021 with Vicki Phelps for Collaboration in Gifted Education. She has been invited to speak in over 28 states, presenting at gifted education conferences and leading professional learning sessions on differentiation, honors programming, deep learning, and collaboration in gifted education.
