Rupa Narayanan is an Extension Educator Coordinator and a doctoral student in Special Education at The Ohio State University. With eight years of diverse experience as a math teacher, Gifted Intervention Specialist, and educator coordinator, she is passionate about fostering creativity and higher-order thinking for all students. Her presentation, "Triarchic Theory of Intelligence: Putting It to Work in the Classroom," is drawn from her direct experience as a 7th-grade math teacher, where she designed and implemented visual organizers based on the Triarchic Theory to successfully differentiate instruction in mixed-ability classrooms. In the last four years as a Gifted Intervention Specialist, Rupa was honored as a 2023 NAGC Javits-Frasier Scholar and a 2022 Next Gen Personal Finance (NGPF) Distinguished Educator. Rupa has presented at Ohio's Gifted Conference and WCGTC World Gifted Conference on differentiated math instruction and gifted education. She holds a Bachelor's in Engineering and a Master's in Educational Leadership, Principal's license, and K-12 Gifted Intervention Specialist endorsement, and she is dedicated to profoundly impacting the lives of these exceptional students.
