Nikki Myers has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialty in Gifted Education from UCCS. She is a PhD student in Educational Leadership, Research, and Policy at UCCS, focusing on Child-Centered Gifted Education, with differentiated learning objectives and instruction, and divergent thinking. She has been a two-term representative to the State Board of Education's Gifted Education State Advisory Committee, and is a governor on the board of the Colorado Academy of Educators for the Gifted, Talented, and Creative (CAEGTC) and a co-director on the Global Awareness Network for the National Association for Gifted Children. She served as the founding director for Academy Director for Academy for Advanced and Creative Learning (AcademyACL), a K-8 charter public school specializing in gifted education in the Pikes Peak Region. She was a 2022 nominee for Colorado Charter School Leader of the Year, and has presented at state and national gifted education conferences.
