Caleb Olson is a high school Senior from Mountain Vista High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. He is passionate about gifted student advocacy and being able to voice the opinions of a very diverse community. As the Vice President and Co-Founder of the National Gifted and Talented Student Advocacy Board, Caleb promotes student agency across the country through presenting at conferences like Johns Hopkins’ National School Redesign Conference and the Colorado Association for the Gifted and Talented conference. In addition to national advocacy work, Caleb is also passionate about bringing student agency to his own school through leading the Gifted and Talented Student Board at Mountain Vista. Organizing events like the GT Expo, where students present their talents and passions, and creating programs to support students’ social and academic progression, like mentorship groups. Caleb believes it takes students uniting for a cause to make real change, and it is only with student input that we can design a better education system.
