Julia Shannon is the Gifted & Talented Specialist for Littleton Public Schools in Colorado, with over 15 years of experience in gifted education. She specializes in equitable identification practices, particularly for culturally and linguistically diverse students. Julia led efforts that resulted in a 5% increase in the identification of multilingual learners and developed district-wide protocols to support consistent, bias-aware gifted identification. She provides ongoing professional learning for GT educators and has presented at both the Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented and the National Association for Gifted Children. Julia is passionate about creating pathways for all students to be recognized for their potential.
