With three decades of classroom experience, Julie Stanley brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and dedication to gifted education. A 1995 graduate of Radford University K–5 Interdisciplinary Studies degree, she went on to earn a Master’s degree from Virginia Tech, becoming certified to teach Mathematics K–8. In 2008, she achieved National Board Certification, further solidifying her commitment to excellence in education.
After 29 years of teaching at the elementary level, she completed her gifted endorsement through Radford University in 2024 and transitioned into a gifted resource position in Montgomery County, Virginia. This past year has proven to be one of the most inspiring and rewarding chapters of her career, as she discovered new ways to support and challenge gifted learners.
Beyond the classroom, she enjoys a full and active life with her husband of 29 years, Jeff. Together, they have three grown children, including a daughter preparing for her upcoming wedding and twin children launching into their professional lives—one of whom has just completed her first year of teaching. Whether walking with friends, reading, enjoying time with their three Boxers, or taking Friday night dance lessons with her husband, she embraces every opportunity to learn, grow, and connect.
