Short Description: The Bloom-Banks matrix stands as a powerful framework for rethinking curriculum development for gifted programs, yet its integration into the school curricula remains largely underutilized. By applying the Bloom-Banks matrix, curriculum authors and teachers would be able to develop assignments/units incorporating multicultural perspectives and diverse content while addressing different cognitive levels of learning.
Learning Objectives:
Analyze the role of differentiated instruction in improving students' language skills within gifted education contexts.
Apply the Bloom-Banks matrix to design inclusive and culturally responsive curricula/activities for diverse student populations.
Evaluate the impact of integrating multicultural education principles on students’ critical thinking, empathy, and cultural competency.
