Short Description: "Build the tallest tower", and "the egg drop" are favorites because they require little prep and students “love them”. But, is that enough? In this session, we’ll explore tried and true STEM/STEAM tasks, turning them into comprehensive lessons connected to real events in real places. You’ll come away with ready to go ideas and tools to become a "reimagineer"!

Attendees will come away with an overall understanding of the importance of aligning STEM/STEAM learning and instruction to real events in real places, across multiple disciplines.
Attendees will come away with ready to go comprehensive lesson ideas and resources that they can take back to their students to use in the classroom right away.
Attendees will come away with instructional tools and an understanding of how to design and implement their own “reimagined” STEM/STEAM lessons based on curriculum they already have.
