Short Description: A new program for twice-exceptional university students with autism assists with the transition to college and executive functioning and social communication skill acquisition. Often such programs are offered with little empirical understanding of effectiveness. We will outline our mixed-method investigation of the program’s impact on executive functioning, social skills, and identity development outcomes, and offer recommendations for similar post-secondary programs.

Learning Objectives:

Attendees will learn the theoretical and empirical rationale for the evaluation of a support program designed to for twice-exceptional university students.
Attendees will hear the study design and results from our longitudinal mixed-methods study of the program's impact on participants.
Attendees will learn recommendations for programs serving similarly underserved university populations.
