Doctoral Researcher
Purdue University - GER2I
West Lafayette, Indiana, United States
Ty'Bresha Glass is a fifth-year doctoral candidate at Purdue University and serves as a graduate research assistant for the Positive Psychology Javits Grant under Dr. Richard Olenchak and as a teaching assistant for EDST 20010: Education Laws and Policies. She holds a B.A. in Educational Psychology from Mississippi State University and an M.Ed in Gifted, Creative, & Talented Studies from Purdue University.
Ty'Bresha's work sits at the intersection of identity, equity, and educational opportunity. Her research explores affective development in gifted students, the retention and attrition of education professionals from marginalized communities, and the use of critical theories to examine educational systems across time.
In both research and teaching, Ty'Bresha remains rooted in real-world relevance. Informed by her experiences coordinating and teaching in gifted enrichment programs, she approaches the classroom as a space for care, critical reflection, and (re)imagining what education can be. She believes that good scholarship and teaching listen first, question second, and always creates space for transformation.
