Nicole Mattingly, M.A., is a Doctoral Candidate (ABD) in Educational Psychology at the University of North Texas, a former SENG Doctoral Fellow, and a certified SENG Community Group Facilitator & Trainer. A former Instructor and biochemical researcher at University of Colorado, PTA President, and Rehab Technician (for brain and spinal-cord injured patients); Nicole parents variously identified HG, PG, & 2E children. Bringing a unique perspective to the development of curriculum, teaching, and parenting of gifted children; Nicole’s research at UNT regards acceleration outcomes; developmental theory; parent practitioners; formal support groups, & interventions targeting social, emotional, & academic needs of gifted children and their families.
