Short Description: Educators will explore a variety of engaging and purposeful games chosen to foster the development of Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creative Thinking—while simultaneously supporting the social and emotional learning (SEL) of gifted students. Participants will be introduced to several games aligned with NAGC programming standards and will have the opportunity to experience these games firsthand.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify and describe games that support SEL development and align with the NAGC standards for gifted education.
  • Integrate the 4Cs (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creative Thinking) into classroom practice using game-based learning.
  • Utilize a tool for incorporating Bloom’s Taxonomy into game-based activities, including strategies to challenge gifted students.
